Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, please complete the form below so Home Church can claim Gift Aid on your donations. This allows the church to receive an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you.

That 25p per £1 is the standard Gift Aid uplift.

Why give?

  • At Home Church, we believe that God is building a diverse, intercultural family through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Your generosity helps us make Jesus known in Kingston and beyond—through worship, discipleship, hospitality, and outreach.

  • Every gift you give is part of something bigger than us: it’s about seeing lives transformed, cultures renewed, and communities drawn into the hope of the gospel.

 Giving - FAQs

  • The Bible teaches that all we have ultimately belongs to God (Psalm 24:1; James 1:17). Giving is therefore an act of worship — a way of saying thank you and trusting him. The New Testament encourages us to give cheerfully, generously, and willingly (2 Corinthians 9:7).

We don’t give to earn God’s favour, but in response to the grace he’s already given us in Jesus Christ. Every gift, large or small, helps advance his kingdom and care for others in love.

  • Your giving supports the life and mission of Home Church — from Sunday worship and discipleship ministries, to outreach, training, and care for those in need. It also provides for our pastoral staff, venue costs, children’s ministry, and community events.

We seek to handle all resources with transparency and integrity, knowing that they are ultimately entrusted to us by God for his purposes.

  • Yes. We believe in openness and accountability. Each year our financial statements are reviewed by our trustees and shared with members.

If you’d like to see a summary of our current budget or learn more about how funds are used, please contact us at hello@homechurchkingston.co.uk.

  • Not at all. Our services and community are open to everyone — whether or not you give. Giving is a joyful response for those who consider Home Church their spiritual home. We want every person to experience God’s grace freely, never to feel pressured to contribute financially.

  • The Bible doesn’t set a fixed amount for Christians to give, but calls us to give proportionally, generously, and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 8–9). For some, that might mean a tithe (10%); for others, more or less depending on circumstances. What matters most is the heart behind it. Are you giving with gratitude, trust, and love for God and his work?

  • We understand that finances can be difficult at times. Giving should never come from guilt or fear, but from freedom and faith. If you’re in a season of hardship, please don’t feel pressured to give. In fact, we’d rather walk with you and help where we can. The church exists to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), not to add to them.

  • Yes. You’re welcome to give anonymously if you prefer. The best way is to give cash. However, if you’re a UK taxpayer and complete a Gift Aid declaration, Home Church can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give at no extra cost to you. This helps your generosity go further.

  • Not at all. While financial giving helps sustain ministry, the Bible speaks of generosity as a whole way of life. There’s sharing our time, skills, homes, prayers, and compassion (Romans 12:1, Hebrews 13:16). We want to be a community marked by open hands and open hearts, reflecting God’s generous character.

  • You can give regularly through your bank’s standing order. Regular giving helps us plan wisely and steward resources effectively for ministry and mission. If you need help setting this up, contact us at hello@homechurchkingston.co.uk and/or speak with the pastors and we’ll guide you through it.
