New to home church?

Let us know you’re coming!

What are Sundays Like?

  • Our gatherings last about an hour. We sing songs (you can simply listen if you prefer), hear readings from the Bible, a short message about Jesus, and a time to pray. We try to explain everything clearly so anyone—whether you’re new to church or not—can follow along.

  • Our Sunday service usually lasts about an hour. It generally includes singing, prayer, Bible reading, and a sermon. Afterwards, we encourage everyone to stay for tea, coffee, and conversation, as we love seeing people build relationships.

  • We provide safe, welcoming spaces where children 5 years and under where children can play and learn about Jesus in simple, engaging ways during the main service. Our volunteers are trained and background-checked.

  • Street parking is available around the neighbourhood. Look out for spaces on Grove Crescent and Denmark Road. Please be respectful of our neighbours as you park, enter and exit.

  • Not at all. Whether you’re curious, exploring faith, or returning to church after a long time, you’re very welcome. We often have visitors who are still figuring out what they believe. Our hope is that you’ll feel comfortable to listen, reflect, and ask questions at your own pace.

  • Wear whatever feels comfortable. People come in everything from jeans to traditional cultural clothing—everyone is welcome.

  • We are in the process of being part of the International Presbyterian Church (IPC), a Christian denomination rooted in Reformed theology and committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • You don’t need to “sign up” to belong—just come and join us on Sundays. If you’d like to make Home Church your spiritual home, we offer relaxed membership sessions where we explain what that means. Speak to one of our elders or their wives.

  • We have small groups and Bible studies where you can meet others, ask questions, and grow in faith. Speak to an elder on Sunday or contact us online to find a group that fits you.

  • There are many ways to get involved, from welcoming people to sharing music or helping with kids. Even if you’ve never done it before, we’ll guide and train you. Let us know your gifts, interests, and we’ll help you take the next step.

  • Yes. Our meeting space is wheelchair accessible, and we are working to make all aspects of church life welcoming and inclusive.

  • Not at all. Many in our church speak English as a second language. We will be doing our best to speak clearly, explain words that may be new, and sometimes provide translated materials or live interpretation.

  • Absolutely. Our church aspired to be intentionally intercultural. Whether you’ve just arrived or have lived here for years, you’ll meet people from many nations and walks of life.

  • Yes. We love having people who are exploring faith or curious about Jesus. You’ll never be pressured to believe—you’re free to listen, ask questions, and take your time.

  • You’re in the right place. We explain things in simple language and offer groups for beginners to learn what Christianity is about.
